During my interview with the director of the Veterans transition house who was kind enough to answer question on sustainability and the power of community partnerships. This Partnership with many entities was a key theme in this programs success and showed the need for what is just and sustainable across a vast spectrum of needs, both financial, environmentally and also socially for this population. “Equity focused definition of sustainability and development” (Agyeman 2012) this was driven home. While covering the Core Elements of Development the Director stated “Initially was  getting finding, and we did get it,” also he mentioned “The DHCD Department of Housing and Community Development and the CEAs Community Economic Assistance program and along with a New England W omens programs made it all possible.
