Challenge and Purpose

To find innovative ways to End veteran Homelessness, to address boundaries to proper housing, to end the blatant inequalities and discrepancies amongst the Veteran populous. To force the Federal Government to acknowledge and  recognize their responsibility to take care of those who answer the nations call to arms. This commitment is multi faceted although singular in a common mission:

To end and prevent homelessness in the Veterans population while ensuring the immediate needs of those experiencing homelessness are met and their civil rights are respected and protected.

Safe, decent, and affordable housing is a human right (as written in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Article Twenty-Five, Section One).

Mark Roseland stated “Sustainability….cannot be simply green or environmental concern, important though environmental aspects of sustainability aspects of sustainability are. ” A truly sustainable society is on where wider questions of social needs and welfare, and economic opportunity are integrally related to environmental limits imposed by supporting ecosystems (Agyeman et. al. 2002, 78)

This along with programs set for reintegration in a sustainable manor, not just concerned with the environment and the impact of the physical aspects of sustainable housing but also to include, Meeting needs of all with, health and  welfare, Financially and spiritual needs and overall wellness.

Title 38 U.S.C. Section 2021
“…the Secretary of Labor shall conduct, directly or through grant or contract, such programs as the Secretary determines appropriate to provide job training, counseling, and placement services (including job readiness and literacy and skills training) to expedite the reintegration of homeless veterans into the labor force.”
